Risk notices

Read this before putting money into crypto.
This is not a recommendation
- Bloco Zero teaches. It doesn't recommend any investment, coin, exchange, app or strategy.
- The apps and exchanges named in the lessons are examples for learning, not endorsements.
- We are not analysts, advisers or managers registered with Brazil's CVM or any other regulator, and we don't do that work.
- Numbers in the lessons are examples and are labeled as such.
- The decision is yours, and so is the risk.
Crypto is volatile
- Prices can fall a lot and fast, even to zero.
- Stablecoins like USDC and USDT aim to be worth US$ 1, but they can lose that peg and depend on the company that issues them.
- Only use money you can afford to lose. Start small.
- Money in your own wallet or in a DeFi app is not covered by any deposit insurance.
Contracts and apps can fail
- DeFi apps like Uniswap and Aave run on smart contracts. Contracts can have bugs, get hacked or behave in unexpected ways.
- Bridges between networks are frequent targets of attacks.
- A loan backed by collateral can be liquidated if prices fall, and you lose part of the collateral.
- Blockchain transactions have no "undo", no customer service and no chargeback.
- Fake sites, fake apps and fake "support" are common. Only use official links.
APY changes every day
- When an app screenshot shows an APY (annual yield), that is the number for the day and time of the screenshot.
- It changes all the time and can drop close to zero. It is not our promise or our estimate.
- Past yield doesn't guarantee future yield. "Guaranteed yield" in crypto is a sign of a scam.
Tokenized stocks
- We mention them only so you know they exist.
- In Brazil, the CVM has not authorized anyone to offer tokenized stocks to investors.
- We don't teach how to buy them and don't point you to where to buy them.
- Rules vary in other countries, and some platforms block certain countries.
Taxes and rules
- Crypto gains may be taxed, and some transactions must be reported to your country's tax authority. That's your responsibility.
- Prefer exchanges that operate legally in your country.
Third-party data
Prices, TVL and other live data come from third parties such as CoinGecko, DefiLlama and the Base network itself. This data may lag or contain errors.
